Way too long...

It has been way too long since my last post.. so this is going to be a long one.

Our new cat Cort thinks that he can climb, walk, or jump on anything. He is really good at balancing. His new thing is to get up on the towel rack and try to get on top of the shower door. He has only managed this once. Bret was taking a shower at the time and once Cort got up there he couldn't get down without help. He didn't like having a soaking wet person get him down and Bret has the scratches to prove it.

Ellie has been asking to ride Trax (the train) for a while so we decided to ride it to the gateway for lunch a few weeks ago. Ellie had a great time!

If anyone wants to take the time to ride Trax down to Gateway to have lunch and walk let me know. Ellie would love to have one of her friends go for a ride on the train with her!


My friend Angi and her family come to Salt Lake every May for a weekend and we always get together and have dinner for my birthday. This year we went to their hotel afterwards and let the kids swim.

Last is Ellie's new love for wearing 2 different colors of shoes. This started about 2 weeks ago. We went to Park City to get Ellie some more Crocs. They are her favorite shoes and I have had a hard time finding ones small enough for her in the valley. When we got there she wanted to try them on. Because of the tags she could only try one of each pair on. She didn't want to take them off so we bought them and let her go home that way. It has now been 13 days and she still wants to wear different colors shoes every day! I have tried to make her wear the same color shoes and she cries and cries about it. So I have given in. Hopefully this will be a short lived phase.
